Laura graduated from the University of Helsinki with a degree in Classical Philology and has also studied Classical Archaeology. She is working on her PhD titled “Tracing motives and occasions for sacred dedications” in the fields of epigraphy and religious studies. The ancient Middle East is familiar to Laura through the materials she is using for her research. Additionally, Laura has worked as a communications officer for the Genealogical Society of Finland for the past few years.
Laura was already familiar with the work of research institutes through the institutes in Rome and Athens, and she has wanted to work within the cultural and academic institute network for a long time.
“I value the important work done by the institutes and look forward to developing the visibility and communication of the Institute.”
Welcome, Laura!
