The book Animals and their Relation to Gods, Humans and Things in the Ancient World has been published

The book Animals and their Relation to Gods, Humans and Things in the Ancient World has been published. It was edited by the director of Finnish Institute in the Middle East (FIME) Dr. Raija Mattila, in cooperation with Dr. Sanae Ito and Dr. Sebastian Fink.

The book includes the presentations of the conference Animals in Mesopotamia: their relation to gods, humans and things, which  was held in Helsinki. There are also some additional articles related to the topic. Alltogether it holds 18 high-level articles written by Finnish and foreign researchers.  FIME organised the conference together with the Intellectual Heritage of the Ancient Near East -project in December 2015.
