The keynote presentations of the Fifth Finnish Colloquium of Middle East and North Africa Studies are now available on FIME’s new YouTube channel. The keynotes offer three different approaches to the questions of identity and communities in the MENA region: Youssef Choueiri (Doha Institute for Graduate Studies) explores the new Arab identity of the 2010’s, Lena Roos (Uppsala Univerity) challenges the stereotypes associated with Judaism and Martin Tamcke (Goettingen University) discusses the Christian communities of the area.
