The Finnish Institute in the Middle East has published a YouTube video “How to report on Israel-Palestine? Researchers’ tips for the media”. In the video (duration 10 min), five leading Finnish researchers in the field – Professor Hannu Juusola, PhD researcher Bruno Jäntti, Postdoctoral Researcher Tiina Järvi, Researcher Timo R. Stewart and Postdoctoral Researcher Antti Tarvainen – share their views on what the Finnish media should take into account when reporting on Israel-Palestine, and what pitfalls and circular reasoning it should avoid. The video is aimed at journalists, but it also offers new insights for those who follow the media’s coverage of Israel-Palestine.
