Sandra Nasser El-Dine started as FIME’s researcher in January 2021. She is currently finalising her PhD thesis in Social Anthropology, which examines young urban Jordanians’ notions of romantic relationships.
In addition to exploring intimate relationships and local notions of love in Arab societies, Sandra’s research interests include Arab occidentalisms, Muslim subjectivities, and everyday re-definitions of Islamic traditions.
As FIME’s researcher she is planning post-doc research, which continues examining love and romantic relationships in the context of domestic life in Beirut.
