Miriam Huovila joins the Institute’s Foundation
BA Miriam Huovila started on 1.1.2021 in her new substitute role as the Foundation of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East administrative and communications assistant.
Miriam is currently completing her Master of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Helsinki. Her master’s dissertation focuses on the transnational networks and activism of Lebanese Kurds. Previously, Miriam has studied communications and Finnish and worked as a journalist. She is also the Institute’s former intern and spent the spring of 2019 working at the Institute’s office in Beirut.
