In this workshop we intend to explore the relations between animals and humans in Lebanon and the surrounding areas through time (from the Palaeolithic to the Roman Period). How did humans use animals and their resources through time? How did animals shape and change human societies? How did ancient societies view animals?
Workshop is organized by the Finnish Institute in the Middle East (Dr. Raija Mattila), the Department of Arts and Archaeology at Lebanese University (Dr. Jwana Chahoud) and the Department of History and Archaeology at the American University of Beirut (Professor Dr. Hermann Genz)
