Inauguration of the institute's new premises

The Finnish Institute in Damascus celebrates the inauguration of its new premises in Old Damascus, Syria, one of the unique UNESCO World Heritage Sites, on 13-14 December 2008. An open invitation to the inauguration.

HERAL project

The Foundation of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East, HERA (Helsinki Education and Research Area) and Greater Helsinki Promotion Ltd. have together started the Helsinki Education and Research Area Launching project.

The Board of the Foundation of the Finnish Institute in the Middle East has elected Professor Jaakko Hämeen-Anttila as new Chairman of the Board on March 14, 2007. Director Jussi Nuorteva acts as Vice-Chairman.
